PhysioTantra ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of The Tantra Group. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the PhysioTantra Clinician App (Partner App), the PhysioTantra Patient App, and our website at physiotantra.com (collectively, the "Services").

By using our Services you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Information We Collect

Clinicians (Partner App): Name, mobile number, email, medical registration number, years of experience, clinic name and location, profile photo, availability schedule, and service rates. We also collect session notes (SOAP notes), appointment records, patient interaction data, and earnings information that you enter while using the app.

Patients (Patient App): Name, mobile number, age, gender, medical history details you voluntarily provide, appointment records, exercise prescription data, session feedback, and payment method preferences.

Automatically collected: Device type, operating system, push notification tokens, app usage analytics, crash reports, and IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and profile.
  • To facilitate appointment booking, session management, and payments between clinicians and patients.
  • To send push notifications about appointments, session updates, payment confirmations, and platform leads.
  • To generate session notes, prescriptions, and progress reports.
  • To calculate and display earnings summaries for clinicians.
  • To improve our platform, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features.
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations in India.
  • To communicate important updates about the platform.

3. Health Information

The PhysioTantra apps handle health-related information including session notes, diagnoses, exercise prescriptions, and pain assessments. This information is:

  • Stored securely on our servers hosted in India.
  • Accessible only to the treating clinician and the patient involved.
  • Never sold to third parties or used for advertising.
  • Retained for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between clinicians and patients: Appointment details, session records, and prescriptions are shared between the treating clinician and the patient as part of the service.
  • Service providers: We use trusted third-party services including Firebase (Google) for push notifications and analytics, and cloud hosting providers. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential.

6. Push Notifications

Both apps send push notifications for appointment confirmations, session reminders, payment receipts, and platform alerts. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings at any time. Disabling notifications may affect your ability to receive timely appointment updates.

7. Camera & Photo Library Access

The Clinician App requests camera and photo library access to allow uploading of profile photos and patient-related documents (e.g., X-rays, prescriptions). The Patient App requests similar access for document uploads. These permissions are used solely for the stated purpose and images are stored securely.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records may be retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law).

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable).

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our website and apps may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
